Tim Place
Head Coach
Urbana University (OH)
WN-08122
Urbana Head Coach Tim Place discusses variations of the 4-2-5 defense within this DVD, the second of a five-part series. Urbana's Stack and Bear defenses are detailed which are 8-man front configurations that make the offense prepare for multiple looks. Coach Place talks about how adjustments are made without the need for substitution. The movement in and out of different fronts is easy to accomplish and creates confusion for the offense.
In this DVD, you will learn from Coach Place:
* The strategy involving variations of the 4-2-5 defense.
* The Stack 8-man front and how it is most effective.
* The Bear 8-man front and how it is most effective.
* How to utilize the same coverages without a great deal of new instruction.
* Movements within the Stack and Bear including Stem to 4, Move to Bear, and Flip to Stack.
* How these variations create confusion for your opponent.
Coach Place:
"In this DVD, we talk about two variations of the 4-2-5: the Stack and Bear in our terminology. It means that our opponent has to prepare for three different coverages. It's also easy to teach to get in and out of various 4-2-5 configurations and creates confusion with the offense."
This video contains extensive game film.
2008-53 minutes.
