This DVD, the second of a four-part series, details how to attack Cover 3 defense with the spread, no-huddle offense. Coach Rich Hargitt, the Quarterbacks Coach and Passing Game Coordinator for Nation Ford High School in South Carolina, began to implement this offense last fall. The results were impressive – Nation Ford had a 2,000 yard passer, they achieved their first state wide top ten ranking and won the first playoff game in the school’s history.
In this DVD, you will learn from Coach Hargitt:
· Why the spread, no-huddle is both efficient and effective.
· How to find the defensive weaknesses in Cover 3 whether it be the defensive line, the linebackers, or the secondary.
· How you can operate at a regular or fast tempo.
· Concepts of the simple read progression with four basic run plays and one protection.
· Specific plays to attack Cover 3 – Texas Tech (4 verticals). Florida (Flood), Clemson/Wisconsin (Deep Cross), Wyoming (Curl/Flat), Houston, Hawaii (Slant/Flat), Ducks 2 (Quick Screen), Ducks 2 Joker, and the Texas Tech All Curl (Post pattern).
· How you can adapt the spread, no-huddle to your existing offense.
· How the spread, no-huddle can be effective in an empty, one, or two-backfield set.
· The philosophy of attacking Cover 3 explained with actual film.
