Steve Rampy
Head Coach
Blue Valley High School (KS)
Think the Pistol is just a one-back offense? Not anymore.
In this video, Coach Rampy illustrates with great detail the advantages of adding a full-back to the Pistol alignment. You’ll learn the Zone Read with the fullback, Zone Read with the Tailback, Fullback Trap, Speed Option, Stretch Zone, Counter and Sprint-Out Passing plays. All of these plays take full advantage of using a fullback in the Pistol. This is a great way to add that extra element that every offense needs to win!
You will see game film of all the plays diagrammed in either sideline or end zone views.
