Posting a high school record of 213-43, Ricky Woods’ teams have claimed six state and 13 district high school championships. Now the head coach at NW Mississippi Community College, Coach Woods is best known for his five seasons as head coach at South Panola High School (MS). Woods compiled a record of 74-1 as head coach for the Tigers which included a 60 game winning record and four consecutive state championships.
In addition to the misdirection, another key sequence of the I offense is the option game because if you have the personnel to run the misdirection, you have the personnel to run the option. In this DVD, high school coaching legend, Ricky Woods outlines his option game in the I offense:
