Since implementing the Unstoppable Sweep, the play has averaged over 11 yards per carry and 1,000 yards per year. Please note – this is not the traditional Fly Sweep – Coach Bryon Hamilton’s Unstoppable Fly Sweep is run by the quarterback in a single back set moving the fullback out to a wing. The results? The Fly Sweep is the cornerstone of Coach Hamilton’s 4,000 yard Shotgun Zone Fly Offense.
In this video, Coach Hamilton will: · Show you the evolution from the traditional Fly Sweep to the Unstoppable Fly Sweep out of the Shotgun Zone Fly Offense.
· Identify player-by-player responsibilities in the sweep.
· Diagram the blocking rules and assignments against odd and even fronts.
· Explain, diagram and provide game film analysis of the G-Fly Sweep, Lead Sweep, Empty Sweep and the Closed Flex Sweep.
